Well, Goblins, we are getting close to the end. Yes, I still have content to get us all the way to the 25th!
Today we will look at Christmas movies that will inspire us, fill us with hope, or at the end, leave a smile on our face.

#5 Batman Returns (1992)
In case you forgot, Batman Returns is very much a Christmas movie.
Hell yes, it’s a dark movie, but it has heart and you really end up rooting for Selina Kyle.
I remember not long after it came out and having a discussion with my best friend’s wife about how it is such an empowering film for women. Yes, she wore a skin-tight outfit, but she was a survivor, took shit from no one and could kick your ass.
She disagreed. Fuck her.
I could have done without the creepy Penguin story, and yes there is a Penguin free cut out there.
I regret that we never saw more of Michelle’s Catwoman.
#4 A Christmas Carol (1984)
OK, OK you whiners here is your precious George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol.
I would have put Scrooged in here again but feared a riot from you filthy animals!
#3 Miracle On 34th Street (1947)
Well, if you have not seen this classic yet, get off your ass and watch it. It should not be too hard to find.
#2 Lethal Weapon (1987)
My favorite film on this list and one of my all time favorites is Lethal Weapon. I flip back and forth between part one and two, but if you are looking for a great Christmas story while bad guys are getting shot, look no further.

Personally, I would go with Lethal Weapon, but the cultural impact this film has had can’t be trivialized.
It has influenced many films and TV shows over the years, I have to give credit where credit is due.
