However Robert Plant Says “Led Zeppelin Could Only Reunite In A Chip Shop”

Legendary rock band Led Zeppelin are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. They formed in 1968 before disbanding in 1980. They later reunited in 1985, 1988, 1995 and, most recently, in 2007.

Plant and Jimmy Page are in talks to reunite as Led Zeppelin for the band’s upcoming 50th anniversary. It’s been ten years gone since Plant shared a stage with Page and the bassist John Paul Jones. Plant maintains he doesn’t like being on stage without the band’s late drummer John Bonham, whose son Jason has provided beats in earlier years.

However now the remaining three stars are allegedly considering a celebration of their work although no details have been confirmed. Bonham is likely to again be represented by his son Jason, who joined the band in 2007 for their last performance as a group for the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert at the O2 Arena.

Fans had speculated the band could get back together for some special shows to mark the milestone, but guitarist Page has refuted that idea. The band’s frontman backed him up while speaking to the Press Association recently, saying they could “only reunite in a chip shop in Camden Town.”

Plant was also asked whether Led Zeppelin could be coerced into headlining Glastonbury next year.

He replied: “Nobody needs coercing. You either want to do something or you don’t – or you can or you can’t.”

So, Led Zeppelin to headline Glastonbury Summer 2019? Rock fans are betting on it. Led Zeppelin holds 2/1 odds.
