Are Wonder Woman and Aquaman joining the Flashpoint movie currently being developed by Warner Brothers?

That’s what is being planned according to popular YouTuber Grace Randolph.

Randolph is a pretty reliable source. She was the one who first reported on all the reshoots for Birds Of Prey a few months ago with a new director, so it’s not like she just makes stuff up like a lot of people on the internet just to get clicks.

It shouldn’t really be that big of a surprise that the studio wants them in the movie considering that the Flashpoint comic takes place in an alternate timeline that involves a war between Atlantis and the Amazons.

Aquaman and Wonder Woman are also the only two DC characters the studio has had real success with after they decided to try to copy Marvel’s idea for a shared universe and you have to question how many people would be interested in a Flash movie that features Ezra Miller as the only star power.

The real problem is whether or not the studio will be able to get Gal Gadot and Jason Mamoa to sign onto the project.

Warner Brothers’ plan for the DC Extended Universe is not as well thought out or planned ahead of time as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so Gadot and Mamoa are not signed up for any additional films beyond their basic deals. They’re probably going to have to pony up quite a bit to get them.

One of the draws of Flashpoint was that in the alternate timeline it takes place in Bruce Wayne was killed instead of his parents, so his father Thomas became Batman and his mother the Joker.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman, has gone on record as saying he wants to come back and play the character again in Flashpoint, but there no word yet if the film will keep that part of the story in the film.

Flashpoint is scheduled to hit theaters July 1, 2022.
