Joaquin Phoenix Is Top Choice To Play The Joker
Joaquin Phoenix has emerged as the top choice to play The Joker in the upcoming stand-alone movie from by Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. This will form part of the new group of films that exist outside of the continuity of its shared universe, and The Joker is already a part of the existing universe, with Jared Leto starring as the classic villain in 2016’s Suicide Squad. Co-writer Todd Phillips (Old School, The Hangover) will also direct the movie.
The movie doesn’t have a release date yet and there’s no word on any other casting.
