Keanu Reeves Keen On Teaming Up With Marvel Or DC
Franchise heavyweight Keanu Reeves says he’d love to play either Wolverine or Batman, but if pushed, his preference lies within the X-Men universe.
Reeves has previously expressed interest in playing either Wolverine or Batman on film but said both roles had already been cast before he could audition. As it currently stands, these roles are both currently vacant.
In a recent interview, promoting his new movie Replicas, Reeves told Screen Geek:
“Of the two, I’d love to play Wolverine…”
The Matrix star added that Wolverine is the only comic book role he would consider playing, but when asked about old Batman rumours, he responded:
“No it wasn’t that I couldn’t take it, it was already cast. Of the two, I’d love to play Wolverine.”
Although when pressed further on any other comic book role he would like to take on, he said:
“I don’t have one, to be candid.”
Taking on the roles of either Batman or Wolverine remains to be seen for the John Wick star, and at the tender age of 54, the effervescent action star might not be what Marvel or DC are looking for.
