Emergency Awesome have shared some of the rumours of a Batman spin-off Joker movie.
The rumour is that this is the start of an Elseworlds style alternative history collection under the DC Black label.
Although the Joker is not a character I have any fondness for, the proposed DC movie series being unconnected to the thoroughly disappointing Justice League universe may herald the return of long time DC fans to the cinema.
With the ability to sign big name actors who don’t want to be tied into multiple movie deals, this does seem promising. I could even be tentatively optimistic about the DC Black project.
But then I remember it’s DC.
