Resurgence

Over the years many of the Stephen King adaptions have been movies of questionable quality.  That seemed to change with Andy Muschietti’s version of IT back in 2017, with Part II due soon.

Suddenly Stephen King adaptions are everywhere, with one currently in cinemas in the form of Pet Sematary.  Three more are due for release this year and Amazon is working on their ambitious Dark Tower series adaption.

Award Winning Short Story

Now another is spinning up.  Queen Of The Earth director Alex Ross Perry is at Legendary Pictures.  He will be working on an adaption of the King short story Rest Stop.

The story follows an encounter at a highway rest stop, domestic violence, and alter-ego driven violence.  In 2004 it won a National Magazine Award and was later included in his 2008 collection Just After Sunset.

Craig Flores (300) will produce.
