007 Asked For Her Input

Fleabag creator, writer, and star, Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been asked to add her input to the script for the new 007 movie.

Scott Z. Burns has already re-written the script and now Daniel Craig has reportedly requested that Waller-Bridge join the team to “liven up” the script.

Sources close to the film in the US said that while visiting New York recently, Waller-Bridge discussed with Craig how to improve the script of Bond 25, which the 007 actor felt needed some “polishing”, by introducing more humour with the style of writing she is known for.

The latest film in the Bond franchise has faced a number of obstacles in getting to the big screen.

Following Danny Boyle’s announcement as the original director, the schedule was thrown into chaos when the 61-year-old quit the project citing “creative differences”.

He was then replaced by US director Cary Joji Fukunaga, with the release date now set for 8th April 2020.

It is also thought to be Craig’s last outing as 007, with the actor claiming he would “rather slash his wrists” than play Bond again.
