Like it or not we will be getting another film about the extreme sport and part-time spy Xander Cage.
Variety is reporting that the next xXx installment will star Vin Diesel & Jay Chou.
Who Chou?
Jay is the Taiwanese “King of Mandopop” that has appeared on soundtracks for films including The Green Hornet, Now You See Me 2, and Kung Fu Panda 3. He is also involved in China’s version of The Voice.
As for an actual actor joining the cast, Chinese actress Zoe Zhang, known from 2012’s Chinese Zodiac will be kicking people in the face.
Others announced so far:
Deepika Padukone (returning from the last installment)
Roy Wang (another singer)
No word of any Caucasians at this time.
Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum will produce with Diesel, Samantha Vincent for One Race Films, and the H Collective.
D.J. Caruso will be directing. Production will begin sometime in 2019.
