According to John Wick’s Director
The Matrix reboot may have the Wachowskis involved according to John Wick 3 director and former Matrix stunt coordinator.
Currently, on tour promoting the new John Wick movie, Stahelski denied reports that The Matrix reboot was taking shape without the Wachowskis:
“I’m super happy that the Wachowskis are not just doing a Matrix, but they’re expanding what we all loved. And if it’s anywhere near the level of what they’ve already done, it wouldn’t take more than a call to go, ‘Hey, we want you to be a stunt guy’ and I would probably go and get hit by a car.”
When asked directly if the Wachowskis were helming the new film, he replied:
“I’m not sure of the overall, I’m not sure if Lana is. But are they involved? Yeah. And if they wanted help, I would absolutely put down whatever I was doing to help them.”
The Wachowski brothers made the original Matrix in 1999 and returned for the sequels, 2003’s The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.
The last I read they had both retired. So, are you ready to be plugged back in?
