You’re Gonna Need A Bigger Box Office
Yesterday tickets went on advanced sale for Avengers: Endgame and within hours the first showings were sold out in a large number of locations.
Several movie ticket pre-sales websites crashed due to high demand, and in the UK the countries biggest cinema chain, Odeon, experienced outages on their website due to immense traffic.
Mere hours after that, Fandango announced that Avengers: Endgame had set a new record for first day sales in the US.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the previous record-holder and apparently Endgame beat that movies 24-hour sales total in just six hours.
Opening night tickets are already appearing on eBay with bids of around $500 per ticket.
Avengers: Endgame will open globally on April 26th.
