Good afternoon. Pops here with some potentially exciting news from the 2018 Rakuten Empire Awards!

That’s right! Star Wars: The Last Jedi was awarded Best Film by the prestigious British film rag. Also on hand for the festivities was The Beard himself, Steven Spielberg, who was bestowed Empire’s Legend of our Lifetime award.

Spielberg announces that Disney is giving him a lot of money.

In his acceptance speech, Spielberg dropped a significant announcement in the midst of his praise of the British film industry and now-customary #TimesUp signalling:

“It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK. The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here.”

That’s right, folks! We have confirmation of the scuttlebutt that’s been circling since Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm- We are go for a fifth Indy film, and it’s set to shoot in the UK in Spring 2019.

The Beard’s getting the team back together- star Harrison Ford, frequent screenwriting collaborator David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) and producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall. No word yet if any other beloved characters from the series are expected to return.

The Beard also revealed that the plot would take into account the years since Crystal Skull, and that this new entry into the series would not be the last. He was, however, mum on the official title. Might I suggest Indiana Jones and the Dead Horse?

Have a good day.
