What if We Could Go Back In Time and Undo Whitey?

Remember when ethnic groups used to make films that uplifted each other and actually showed ethnic success from buying into and supporting the American Dream?

Yeah. I don’t either.

The real horror is slavery. Not zombies, COVID19, or bankruptcy. Just white people bent on slavery.

Instead, we get this ethnically oriented, victim culture garbage from the producers of Get Out and Us.

Here’s the synopsis:

Successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late. ANTEBELLUM is a terrifying new thriller from the producer of the acclaimed films GET OUT and US, and groundbreaking directors Gerard Bush and Christoper Renz (Bush+Renz) – an exciting new voice in filmmaking.

Oh, goody. They combined their names together to direct this “ground-breaking” film.

Here’s the teaser trailer, if you dare:

Confusion, Time Travel, and RetConnning History for the Benefit of Politics

This teaser has everything in it that the audiences who lap up the racial grievance porn that infects the Twitter masses will be sure to love:

  • An appropriately “ethnic” African-American woman,
  • An appropriately “revolutionary” statement about the future,
  • An appropriately 12 Years a Slave throwback plot device to a more violent time that, historically speaking, 620,000 white people died to liberate black people from,
  • An appropriately “scary” group of white people committed to keeping “y’all in chains.”
See that white man’s hand? That’s the real horror show. Not socialism, not revolution, not economic collapse due to the unsustainable national debt. Just white man’s hands.

It’s almost like we could all sit in a room and come up with this plot ourselves and make our own film.

We breathlessly await the trades’ seal-like clapping for this film, as more teasers and predictable plot details roll out ahead of the film’s release.

What Are We To Make of All of This?

If you’ve seen any show or movie ever on Hulu, Netflix, HBOMax, or even Disney+, then you’re already familiar with the plot points, the direction, and the “big” reveal of this film.

Nobody you know in America lives like this in the 21st century.

If you’ve been listening to Jordan Peele’s bloviating and the bloviating of the people who support him, then you’re also already in the know about what to expect from Antebellum.

However, this is one more piece of evidence that the money-making machine of Hollywood films has divided out into two separate, and yet inherently unequal, systems.

Someone once spoke out against that in the past.

Antebellum comes to theaters on April 24, 2020.
