As Victor Zsasz in the wildly uneven Gotham, Anthony Carrigan was often the best thing in the show.  Following a stint as NoHo Hank in Barry, he will be taking the role of lead villain in Bill & Ted Face the Music.

In the film, now middle-aged best friends Bill and Ted (Alex Winter & Keanu Reeves) have to take to their time travelling telephone booth yet again when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save the universe.

They will be helped by their daughters played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine, some old friends including William Sadler’s return as Death, and the usual mix of historical figures and musical legends.

Details of the villain are currently a secret.

Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have written the movie. Dean Parisot is to direct with Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce producing.  Steven Soderbergh is executive producer.

The film opens on August 21st, 2020.
