Matrix 4. The sequel nobody, not even the other Wachowski sister, wants is becoming more of a reality everyday.
German actor and Sense8 alum Max Riemelt has signed on to find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Sense8 was also created by the Wachowskis for Netflix.
Besides Sense8 Max is relatively unknown on this continent but has been working steadily in mostly European productions since the late 90’s with 70 IMDB credits to his name.
Along with fellow former Sense8 co-star Toby Onwumer, he’ll be joining a Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Neil Patrick Harris (A Series of Unfortunate Events), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff from Frozen).
Original cast members having favours called in are Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Filming is scheduled to begin shortly with Lana Wachowski at the helm.
She also co-wrote the script with Sense8 writers Aleksander Hemon and David Mitchell, who also contributed to the script for the generally underrated Cloud Atlas.

The, as yet untitled, fourth visit to The Matrix is set to open May 2021.
