“They Really Want To Take The Time To Get It Right.”
A teaser for the next season of Stranger Things dropped a couple of weeks ago, but it now looks like the Netflix sci-fi show won’t be returning this year.
Netflix programming executive Cindy Holland explained that the reason for this delay is because Stranger Things producers the Duffer brothers and Shawn Levy are still fine-tuning. This upcoming season will also have more special effects work than previous seasons, which requires a bit more time.
Holland said, “It’s a handcrafted show, they [the Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy] understand the stakes are high and they really want to take the time to get it right. They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I think it’s going to be a really exciting season. It just takes a little more time and will be worth the wait.”
The sci-fi show has already released a teaser trailer, with a commercial for a new mall in Hawkins, called Starcourt Mall –
