“Allow Myself To Introduce… Myself”

Mike Myers has announced that he’s going to be making a fourth Austin Powers movie.

“I’m back baby… yeah!”

He made the announcement during the premiere of Bohemian Rhapsody, which he features in, and confirmed writing had already begun. He told journalists:

“The fourth Austin Powers movie… it’s looking good. They take a long time to write, they always have.

“You’re going to see Dr Evil soon, somewhere in the culture.”

He explained the decision to create a fourth film was influenced by the passing of his father Eric. Discussing his loss, Myers explained:

“I would love to do another, but you just have to see. I was devastated by my father’s death but to have that turn into something that makes people happy is unbelievably satisfying.”

“It’s that kind of stuff you never get used to or get tired of.”

With the current trend of resuscitating old franchises, there’s no reason why Austin Powers can’t be added to the list.

With Verne Troyer’s death earlier this year, sadly we won’t be seeing Mini-me. They should hire Tony Cox from Bad Santa and have a joke about how even Dr. Evil has to have diversity in his organisation.

Mini-me & Dr. Evil

Earlier this year, Myers reprised his role as Dr. Evil for a comedy sketch on The Tonight Show. Dr. Evil was portrayed as an ousted Trump cabinet member who was disgruntled that Steve Bannon had already taken the title of “Secretary of Evil”.

An official announcement is expected soon and we’ll report it as soon as we hear.
