Arnie Teams Up With Michael Fassbender and The Hoff
Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator, Predator and Total Recall) is now part of the new Kung Fury movie in development. He joins Michael Fassbender and David Hasselhoff who have already been cast in this feature-length adaptation of David Sandberg’s cult 2015 action-comedy short.
In what sounds like a match made in ’80s throwback heaven, Schwarzenegger will play the American President in Sandberg’s action-comedy, set to shoot in Europe and in the U.S. this summer. Swedish filmmaker Sandberg, creator of the short, will also star as the titular hero (the “greatest damn cop of all time“) in the new iteration, who Film Goblin announced earlier this week.
The plot is set in 1980s Miami, which is kept from harm and prying eyes by Kung Fury and his team, the Thundercops, comprised of police forces gathered across generations to defeat the evil Kung Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler. Here’s how it all started –
