“Where There’s A Will – And There Is A Fucking Will – There’s A Way – And There Is A Fucking Way.”

A prequel series to the hit British crime movie Sexy Beast is in development. Deadline is reporting that the new series is on the cards over at Paramount, will track the origin story of Gal Dove, Don Logan and Teddy Bass, played in the movie by Ray Winstone, Ben Kingsley and Ian McShane.

Sexy Beast follows ex-villain Gal (Winstone) who has served his time behind bars and is blissfully retired to a Spanish villa paradise with a wife he adores. The idyll is shattered by the arrival of his nemesis Don (Kingsley), intent on persuading Gal to return to London for one last job. Desperate not to sacrifice his new life of retirement, Gal is drawn into a battle of wills with Don, and takes part in an underwater heist, risking everything to protect the woman he loves.

“You’re the problem! You’re the fucking problem you fucking Dr White honkin’ jam-rag fucking spunk-bubble! I’m telling you Aitch you keep looking at me I’ll put you in the fucking ground, promise you!”

Though McShane’s Teddy missed out on all the fun in the sun between Don and Gal, it appears that the proposed prequel series will find the character playing a major part alongside the other two.

The prequel will tell the story of up-and-coming criminal Gal as he forms a partnership with Don, both working for criminal mastermind Teddy Bass before meeting and falling for adult film star DeeDee — his future wife. Gal is a brilliant thief and Don is a vicious gangster, and the series will explore the pair’s complicated relationship as Gal finds himself descending into the seductive madness of the London criminal world during the volatile 1990s.
