As we wind up the decade, Paul Thomas Anderson’s Magnolia stands as the ensemble film of the last twenty years.
We’ve had full to half baked superheroes, franchise disappointments, overseas meddling, and even an expansion of choices for viewing “content,” but visionary directors like Anderson, Scorcese, Nolan, and others remind us that, “these strange things happen all the time.”
