Oh, The Hysteria and The Vapors…

Directly from the mouths and digital pens of the “aristocratic” and “sophisticated” film/shill media, fell this little nugget today: Warner Brothers has decided to ban print and broadcast reporting from the Joker red carpet premiere on October 4.

Trust me, folks, as long as you’re not getting sent to Gitmo, democracy is fine. And by the way, Gandhi hated all of you and thought you were parasites.

Warner Brothers, in a move that is described by the glorified bloggers that pass for most print and broadcast media talents these days, as “stunning” and “unprecedented,” said about their decision that:

A lot has been said about Joker, and we just feel it’s time for people to see the film.

As you would expect, the usual suspects in the shill, film media, film blogging and film commenting world were over the moon with joy that their calendars are now suddenly open the evening of October 4 and now they can do anything other than go see Joker.

You know, because Joker is really about rapacious incels, the Aurora Colorado theater shootings, mass shootings in general, and “toxic (white) masculinity,” and wouldn’t be worth their time to cover, as the Joker character is now a symbol of “white domestic terrorism.”

I write this with no appeal to irony or to be funny: We are in serious decline here, folks.

The Man Who Laughs

The Joker, originally created as a foil for Batman by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson, and who first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book Batman on April 25, 1940, was designed to be a one-off one-shot villain.

“Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?” Cause I have, and he looks a lot like a shill film blogger with a Progressive agenda.

But, as time has gone on, and as our society has more come to resemble the insanity of the Joker, rather than the stoic heroism of Batman, the villain has become a repository of all our hopes, dreams and fears about people in power.

Or so the journo-bloggers, who don’t believe they’re contributing to the growing insanity and chaos, would have you believe.

They would also have you believe that they speak “truth to power” or some other half-baked claptrap from philosophy classes they slept through in college.

From one of them:

“While red carpet interviews don’t always lead to the lengthiest of exchanges between reporters, cast, and crew members, they’re still excellent opportunities for members of the press to present the rich and powerful with succinct, to-the-point questions worth asking.

Nope.

Nope.

Nope.

If You Open the Door of a Clown Car, Clowns Fall Out

There is a law of life and it’s a simple one: People who have a track record of behaving stupidly in their decision making, their behavior, and their inability to see the consequences of their actions, will continue to do so if not checked.

Yep. At the tail end of the Empire. And someone has to yell “STOP!” Who knew it would be Warner Brothers?

Warner Brothers, after a series of poor public relations brouhahas involving the parents of the victims of the Aurora Theater Shootings, Joaquin Phoenix being unable to hold it together during a basic press interview, and the director, Todd Philips seeming to have no understanding of the culture he’s actually living in that surrounds the film release, decided to check the insanity and stop the stupidity.

Good for them.

It’s about time that culture creators, even corporate ones, stuff the instigating and insane media clowns back into the car they fell out of.

Or, even better, never open the door to the car in the first place.
