Del Toro’s new noir thriller has been collecting some impressive names.

Bradley Cooper is headlining the Fox Searchlight production, which also counts Toni Collette, Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett and David Strathairn as among its cast. Nightmare Alley is an adaptation of the 1946 noir novel by William Lindsay which first hit the big screen with a 1947 adaptation.

Well, it’s certainly on my radar now.

This definitely doesn’t look like the bleeps, sweeps, OR creeps…

My only exposure to GDT has been Blade II, the Hellboys and Pacific Rim. But I’m intrigued by what GDT will do with this part The Master, part The Sting and part Boogie Nights tale.

Another encouraging sign is Guillermo will not be satisfied with a puny R rating. No, No.  GDT is going for the unheard-of Double R rating!!

I’m telling ya fam, the Knowles review on this one will be EPIC!!

Nightmare, based on William Lyndsay Gresham’s 1946 novel of the same name, centers around Stan Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) on his journey from carnival mentalist to a seance-performing Reverend Carlisle and one last score.

Dames get involved, and when dames get involved things tend to get pear-shaped.

Filming is set to begin early 2020 in Toronto with a release date later that year.
