This is a day, maybe the one day of the year, to put the phone down, close the laptop and focus on what’s most important to us: Fambly.
If you’re religious or at all spiritual, it might be time to think about another family that traveled through a dark and dangerous night over 2000 years ago in order to bring a new member of the human race into the world.
If you’re a filthy heathen or an infidel then you should at least try to be around the people that know you the best and that care about you the most, and that is your family.
If you are estranged from your family, call them, just one of them, even if it’s been years.
And if you have no family, try to be with friends. But if someone makes a pun like “Friendsmas”, punch them in the nose and leave.
What We Do Here Is Not Important Today
Some things you should not be doing on such a day is thinking about or talking about box office recipients, dying franchises, shills or SJWs.
None of your family or friends will have the slightest idea what you are talking about.
If you have no friends or family to speak off, then the Goblins will be here for you, posting some of the backlogs, but at least take a break from the war to watch a great Christmas movie or something.
Or maybe you can use this time to contemplate on the absolute state of confusion Joseph must have found himself in when he virginal wife is discovered to be pregnant. Then some migrants slide into her manger, bringing her gifts like beta-male orbiters? And who the hell is that little boy with the drum?
Today Is A Day Of Peace
Christmas is not just a holiday to be observed and forgotten but it is the Spirit of Love and Kindness that should permeate every part of our lives.
We can fight the money lenders in the temple tomorrow.
Remember, Jesus conquered Sin and Death in just over 33 years. I figure we can do it in less than 33 months.
