Drew Barrymore, Carmon Diaz, Lucy Lui. Not only are they all legitimate actresses but they are also legitimate comic actors that had the chops to pull off Angels’ camp.
I never saw any of the 2000s movies because they were directed by McG but I’m assuming they weren’t supposed to be serious. I’m assuming they were just some sexy, slapstick female James Bond rip-offs. Hey, that’s cool. Girls wanna have fun and all that.
Well, now matters are worse.
If you get the feeling this is basically a music video, you aren’t wrong.
If you’re thinking this is The Fast & The Furious without any personality, cars or set-pieces, you would also be correct.
Is it me or is there somewhat of a mean streak, a real bitchy vibe, to all of this dress-up and girl power? But who are they getting back at? Who broke up with them? The audience?
