The Uwe Boll Story Trailer Unravels The Most Hated Man in Hollywood, And Goblin Icon

Some say that Director Uwe Boll has made a lot of shitty films in his career. Plenty people despise him, but he has loyally fierce fans that adore him, and we at FilmGoblin worship the man.

He’s one of the most outspoken filmmakers out there that likes to say a lot of crazy shit and can be prone to the odd meltdown. When he talks, he speaks his mind and wears his heart on his sleeve and sensitive folks these days don’t like that, and then others respect him for it.

I’ve even spoken with him about his movies and he’s given me advice on good Scotch whiskey. Jesus, that’s all my boxes ticked, so why the hate?

Boll directed and produced a number of film adaptations of popular video games, including Alone In The Dark, BloodRayne, and House Of The Dead. These adaptations have been criticised for lack of attention and care which is deemed not good enough for the scholars who play these games.

The new documentary kinda explores why Boll has this reputation from those in the industry, as well as the fans of the video games.

F**K YOU ALL: The Uwe Boll Story explores the life and career of the one of my favourite filmmakers.

Including interviews with Boll himself, the people who have worked with him, his weirdest critics and all the other nomads in-between, this film is quite an eye-opening glimpse of the film industry.

An indie filmmaker in 90s Germany, Boll had his fair share of highs (working with Oscar-winning actors and making films with multi-million dollar budgets) and lows (having online petitions for him to stop making films reaching hundreds of thousands of signatures).

None of this stopped the main man from continuing to deliver movie after movie, totaling 32 feature films before gracefully retiring, then opening a successful high end restaurant in Vancouver called Bauhaus.

Already a cult legend, Uwe Boll will always be remembered forever in the world of film.

He will be remembered as a fierce, prolific filmmaker who came from Germany to Hollywood and never compromised his integrity once, whilst forging his own destiny.

Uwe… Thanks for the advice!

I’ll remember him for being an honest, hard-working man. You hear that Disney?
