First up, here is the trailer for the new adaptation of Stephen King’s classic horror novel Pet Sematary:

Starring John Lithgow, Jason Clarke, and twin clones of Miko Hughes, this version seems to be ticking the kind of horror checkboxes that audiences have come to expect. That doesn’t interest me so much but I genuinely love watching John Lithgow’s work so this is one I’ll watch.

Miko Hughes
As the dad of a little boy about the same age as Gage, I am not prepared to experience this scene all over again.

Much respect to Mary Lambert, Dale Midkiff, and Fred Gwynne for creating one of the most gut-wrenching scenes in horror movie history.

On April 5, 2019, we’ll see if directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer can get close.

Adiós, amigos y amiguitas!
