Neon, the distribution company that has brought you such memorable films as Assassination Nation, Beach Bum and Vox Lux, is back with what could be their first hit at the box office.

The Lodge pretty much sounds like every other “trapped in the house” scary movie ever:

A soon-to-be stepmom is snowed in with her fiancé’s two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations begin to thaw between the trio, some strange and frightening events take place.

But it does star a post-Keto and completely unrecognizable Alicia Silverstone as the step-mother eager to earn the trust of a couple of kids whose mother recently died.

Remember her from French class? She was in a Batman movie and an Aerosmith video.

When you are done checking out her out, check out the trailer:

The Lodge is the brainchild of Austrian auteurs Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz, who brought us Goodnight Mommy. Lots of unresolved childhood issues with those two, eh?

The movie will be released in the United States and the UK sometime in the Fall of 2019.
