Nicolas Winding Refn’s Series Hits Amazon In June

For Drive and Neon Demon fans, the trailer debut of Nicholas Winding Refn’s epic launch into television makes today an interesting one.

Refn is bringing his talents to the small screen for Too Old To Die Young, a 10-episode series for Amazon that Refn himself has directed.

 

Refn wrote the series alongside Ed Brubaker (Captain America: Winter Soldier, Westworld), and it’s set to arrive on Amazon Prime in June.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the series:

“The series explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles by following characters’ existential journeys from being killers to becoming samurais in the City of Angels.”

The series stars Miles Teller, Jena Malone, John Hawkes, William Baldwin, and is written by Nicolas Winding Refn, Ed Brubaker, and Halley Wegryn Gross. Refn and Brubaker are attached to executive produce alongside Joe Lewis and Jeffrey Stott.

Too Old To Die Young is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on June 14th.
