Frank Castle Is Back

Marvel’s The Punisher is set to return sooner than expected.

Netflix unveiled the trailer for the second season today, announcing its release date in the clip.

“That’s a hell of a rash”

Jon Bernthal reprises the role of the vengeance-driven ex-soldier in the second season of The Punisher, which Netflix confirmed will be returning later this month.

The trailer focuses heavily on Bernthal’s character, Frank Castle, aka The Punisher. Here it is:

Netflix’s synopsis for the show reads:

“Former Marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle (Bernthal) has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl (Giorgia Whigham).”

“As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace life as The Punisher.”

There’s a chance this could be The Punisher’s swansong as Netflix has canceled several of its other Marvel series. The Punisher hits Netflix Jan. 18, 2019.
