Series Starring Russell Crowe To Premiere This Summer

Showtime will premiere its limited series The Loudest Voice on June 30. The series about Roger Ailes and Fox News and is based on the non-fiction book The Loudest Voice In The Room by Gabriel Sherman.

Russell Crowe portrays Ailes as a cunning son of a bitch, hell-bent on getting whatever he wants, whether that be political power, ratings or the ladies.

Ailes’ rise to power within Fox network began after he was hired by Rupert Murdoch in 1996. Ailes ran Fox News for almost 20 years, until 2016 when he resigned following sexual harassment and misconduct allegations.

Along with Crowe, The Loudest Voice stars Naomi Watts as former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson, Sienna Miller as Ailes’ wife Elizabeth, Seth MacFarlane as former Fox News PR chief Brian Lewis and Simon McBurney as News Corp chief Rupert Murdoch.

The seven-part series premieres on Showtime on June 30.
