No More Breaks Between Seasons

Adult Swim has revealed in a special video announcement that cultural phenomenon Rick & Morty will return with all-new episodes in November.

We get to see the duo embark on more intergalactic mayhem and dealing with Jerry. And the bonus news concerning the fourth season – this is the first installment of Adult Swim’s 70 episode mega-order.

Here’s the Twitter video:

Created by Dan Harmon (Community) and Justin Roiland (Adventure Time), the Emmy-winning toon follows scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty on their adventures through the multiverse.

Roiland voices the titular characters, with Sarah Chalke as Rick’s daughter/Morty’s mother, Beth; Chris Parnell as Rick’s son-in-law/Morty’s Dad Jerry; and Spencer Grammer as teenage daughter Summer.

Roiland also confirmed the new format the series will now be shown:

“We’re super excited that, for the first time ever, we’re locked in, we know what the future is, we have job security. Harmon is in great spirits, we have a great writer’s room. We want the episodes to stay good, but we do also want to try to turn them around a little quicker now that we have this big order, I think it gives us the ability to be faster.”

“We’re not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in between seasons anymore. We’re going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going. It’s going to be really cool.”

This is good news for fans, who endured a painful two-year hiatus between the second and third seasons. We’re currently experiencing a similar amount of time again now, but season 4 is not far off now.

Rick & Morty is currently also still on Netflix for UK viewers, but the new ones won’t be, and there are rumours flying around that it’ll be completely removed when the new season is released.
