A lot of the Blue Teamers around here have been getting a little bit of milage goofing on my excitement of the Mortal Kombat remake.
Let me be absolutely clear, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout no Mortal Kombat, baby.
I’ve played the game exactly five times in my life. All of those were on a Sega Genesis I ordered last month for just such a purpose.
I find fighting games boring to play because I do all my fighting in real life and not inside a video game. Many ex-Goblins will confirm this.
But watching the highlight reel for this Mortal Kombat 11 T-800 add-on pack is a tremendous amount of fun, even for someone who is neither a fan of the game or the genre.
“Please don’t bother my friend Jax, he’s dead tired.”
The moves, the special abilities, the finishing moves; right now it seems video games are much more inventive — even in a cinematic sense — than action movies.
And I know that is not Arnold’s voice going “Get over here!” but it’s still pretty cool.
It’s certainly much cooler than anything Terminator being released in the theaters.
