“We’ll Meet Again”

HBO just debuted a new trailer for Westworld’s third season at San Diego Comic-Con, and as Film Goblin previously reported, it’s looking likely that the new season will be going in a radically different direction.

The first two seasons took place within the confounds of the Westworld park, but this season it looks like it’ll take place outside in the real world.

Breaking Bad alum Aaron Paul will be joining Evan Rachel Wood this season as a construction worker named Caleb.

HBO has still to release an official synopsis, but co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan said:

“This is season is a little less of a guessing game and more of an experience with the hosts finally getting to meet their makers. Our characters are now in radically different circumstances”

Lena Waithe (Ready Player One) is also joining Westworld season 3 in an unknown role, and Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) is to star as one of the show’s major villains.

Westworld’s third season premieres in 2020.
