The Gang Is Heading To Space

FXX released the trailer for Archer: 1999, marking a tenth season for the show, and will see the gang blast off into space (and the future!).

The writers have been taking full advantage of the “It’s all in his head” with Sterling’s recent character arc, by offering different takes on the supporting characters and their new environments.

This will be the third season in a row to be a “coma dream” for H. Jon Benjamin’s Sterling Archer, who was shot at the end of Season 7. The past two seasons have seen the characters navigate through a 1947-era noir story, Dreamland and a 1930s-set adventure called Danger Island, (which paid homage to the 1980s Tales Of The Gold Monkey series).

Here’s the trailer:

Here’s the synopsis:

Archer is an animated, half-hour comedy that follows Sterling Archer, Lana Kane, and their crew of acid-tongued misfits onboard the M/V Seamus salvage ship. An important question arises as they explore deep space and try to outsmart giant aliens, intergalactic pirates, and vicious bounty hunters: how do they survive each other? Welcome to the space-tastic world of Archer: 1999.”

The series features the voices of Benjamin as Archer; Aisha Tyler as Lana Kane, Jessica Walter as Malory Archer; Judy Greer as Cheryl/Carol Tunt; Chris Parnell as Cyril, Amber Nash as Pam; Adam Reed Ray; and Lucky Yates as Krieger.

Archer: 1999 will debut Wednesday, May 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FXX.
