After all the negative press leaks, Bond 25 is fighting back.

The production suffered from the loss of a Director when Danny Boyle left, some rewrites from Fleabag and Killing Eve writer/creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and an injury to star Daniel Craig.  Then there was an on-set explosion that injured a crew member.

A lot of these things are fairly standard happenings for a huge franchise picture, with heavy practical effects.  Just like the usual press feeding frenzy that accompanies a new 007 picture, the tabloids couldn’t help themselves, in particular, the British tabloids.

Bond 25 was apparently cursed.  As Elliot Carver once said:

”There’s no news… like bad news!”

First up, head villain and Bohemian Rhapsody Oscar winner Rami Malek set the record straight after the Express newspaper quoted him, he said, out of context in this article.

Then today the production released this rather excellent little glimpse behind the scenes of their filming in Jamaica.  Rumor has it this is the opening sequence.

Jeffrey Wright’s Felix Lighter returns from appearances in Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace, plus name checks in Skyfall and Spectre. He asks 007 to take a break from his retirement in Jamaica to help him out. Thus begins Daniel Craig’s last outing as 007.

Bond and reggae?  Never thought I would see it.  Somehow it just works.
