“I’m Afraid Mr. Wick Is On His Own…”
John Wick is definitely back and hunting all his enemies down on horseback and tooled up with a samurai sword, in the new trailer for John Wick 3 Parabellum:
The storyline picks up with the hitman on the run after the assassination of Santino on the grounds of the Continental Hotel. Wick is trying to escape New York City, after being given a one-hour head start to get his ass out of town.
There’s a $14 million price on his head as John attempts to survive hordes of assassins and an unforgiving New York City.
He fights alongside the last person who still believes in him, Sofia (Halle Berry) and stages a final stand against Mark Dacascos’s villain.
It also stars Laurence Fishburne, Asia Kate Dillon, Lance Reddick, Saïd Taghmaoui, Jerome Flynn, Jason Mantzoukas, Tobias Segal, Boban Marjanovic, with Anjelica Huston, and Ian McShane.
John Wick was a surprise hit, positive reviews and a strong box office haul of nearly $90 million. The second film, released in 2017, made over $170 million.
John Wick 3: Parabellum is scheduled for a May 17 release.
A female-led spin-off titled the Ballerina is in the pipeline, as is a TV show set inside the Continental Hotel.
