Also… Tom Freaking Waits As Hermit Bob!

Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton and Chloë Sevigny unite to defend their quirky small town from zombies in the first trailer for The Dead Don’t Die, the upcoming zombie horror-comedy from filmmaker Jim Jarmusch.

The movie’s trailer labels it as “the greatest zombie cast ever disassembled”, and here it is:

The Dead Don’t Die takes place in the small fictional town of Centerville, where the undead start preying on the townfolks, and it’s up to the cops — played by Driver, Sevigny and Murray — to save the day.

The trailer also features cameos from the sacred one himself, Tom Waits (“Welcome to my world, zombies,” he intones), a reanimated Iggy Pop, a concerned Danny Glover, a frightened Selena Gomez and a mid-zombie-grip Steve Buscemi.

The all-star cast also includes RZA, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Sara Driver, Carol Kane, Austin Butler and Luke Sabbat.

This looks funny as hell. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a good laugh at the theater. I have hopes for this.

The Dead Don’t Die, out June 14th, is Jarmusch’s first project since his 2016 documentary on the Stooges, Gimme Danger.
