Also, no shock are the final ratings for the game.

According to Nielsen, the game had 102 million viewers. That is up slightly from last year’s game between New England and Los Angeles which had 100.7 million viewers.

The total number of viewers is not just from television viewers on Fox and Fox Deportes, but also digital streamers such as The NFL, Verizon and Fox’s own digital service.

Once the final numbers are in it should rank around the 12th or 13th highest-rated program in television history.

2015’s matchup between Seattle and New England remains the highest-rated game ever at 114.4 viewers.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that the halftime show featuring the criminally buff Jennifer Lopez and Shakira had 103 million viewers, 1 million more than the game itself.

Benefitting from all the people watching the game the most was probably The Masked Singer, which aired after the game.

As a result of its post-Super Bowl slot, the season premiere of the cult hit had its largest audience ever at 23.7 viewers.
