Nothing Is Over ‘Til It’s Over

Sylvester Stallone is reported to be in talks to star in Rambo 5, which would mark his return to the franchise since 2008’s Rambo.

While Stallone’s involvement has yet to be confirmed officially, Millennium is currently mooting the project in Cannes with a possible shoot date set for September this year. Stallone is understood to be working on the script with producer/collaborator Avi Lerner (The Expendables).

Live For Nothing, Die For Something

The plot for Rambo 5 will find Rambo leaving the comforts of his ranch to track down the kidnapped grand-daughter of an old friend in Mexico, where he will have to take on a violent drug cartel. What ensues is a violent descent into hell as Rambo uncovers a sex-trafficking ring.

There were talks of rebooting the franchise one point when a TV series was in the cards, but without the actor/director being involved, the project never got off the ground. The 71-year-old action star hasn’t made a Rambo movie in 10 years, but is now ready for his fifth outing.

They drew First Blood, not me.
