Six Episodes Remain

It’s been well over a year since a new episode of Game Of Thrones has aired, HBO announced a few months back that the epic series would return for its final season in April, and now we have an exact date.

The final outing of the fantasy drama series was confirmed by HBO to air on April 14th, and it will be broadcast in the UK and Ireland at 2 am the following day on Sky Atlantic.

Here’s the trailer:

What Happened At The End Of Last Season?

Jaime Lannister had nearly drowned while Dany’s dragons were incinerating everything. Littlefinger finally got his at the hands of Arya and Sansa Stark after constantly trying to manipulate the pair against each other.

The final sequence of the season saw The White Walkers finally breaking through the Wall at Eastwatch, thanks to the assistance of the recently deceased Viserion, now reanimated as an ice dragon whose blue ice fire brings down the Wall.

Unsurprisingly, the teaser doesn’t have any new footage of the final season but teasing what’s to come. Featuring Jon Snow, Sansa Stark and Arya Stark who have gathered at Winterfell walking through the crypts.

Jon Snow is seemingly coming to terms with his true parentage, as a member of the Stark family, and the trailer ends with an icy air flowing through the tunnel.

It’ll be very interesting to see how showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss wrap up one of the most-watched pop culture phenomenons in recent history.
