Man Vs Elements In Survival Thriller
Bleecker Street Films has released a trailer for survival thriller Arctic, the feature debut of filmmaker Joe Penna, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year.
Mads Mikkelsen, the Danish actor best known for his roles in Hannibal, Casino Royale, and Doctor Strange, battles brutally harsh elements after his plane crashes. Icelandic actress Maria Thelma Smáradóttir also stars. Here’s the trailer:
The official synopsis reads:
“A man (Mads Mikkelsen) stranded in the Arctic after an airplane crash must decide whether to remain in the relative safety of his makeshift camp or to embark on a deadly trek through the unknown in hopes of making it out alive.”
The trailer looks impressive, and Mikklesen is always good to watch. I’ll be checking this film out when it’s released.
Although be sure to keep an eye on your local listings as this will only be a limited release in theaters beginning on February 1st.
