It’ll Be Set Thousands Of Years Before Game Of Thrones
HBO gave fans a teaser of their vision of the post-Game Of Thrones future and have green-lit a pilot for an untitled prequel series which takes place well before the events of the show.
Set before the events of Game Of Thrones, the project chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. A logline from the network teased –
“Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game Of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend … it’s not the story we think we know.”
But there’s a long way to go yet: Game Of Thrones’ eighth season doesn’t air until next year, and there’s no guarantee that this pilot will lead to a series.
