The Matrix 4, the next chapter in the Matrix saga, has added another cast member to the film.
Variety is reporting that Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is joining the cast in an unknown role.
She joins a film that already includes returning franchise stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss, as well as new Matrix actors Neil Patrick Harris and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
Though not exactly A-list in America, in her home country of India Chopra Jonas is a superstar who has been in a number of hit films.
Her American credits, on the other hand, are in mostly forgettable films such as the big-screen version of Baywatch and the Rebel Wilson comedy Isn’t It Romantic. She also starred in the successful drama Quantico on ABC for three seasons.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has also become a tabloid favorite since marrying former Jonas Brothers band member Nick Jonas.
The Matrix 4 starts filming with director Lana Wachowski next month in San Fransisco.
