Fresh news from the set of the Mission: Impossible franchise is that every man’s actor everyman’s actor Shea Whigham has been recruited.

You all know Shea Whigham.

He’s been a part of the film scene for years and has slowly built his status.  He’s not ultra-fine but I like his style and respect his work ethic.

Though he’s been in dozens of big movies and T.V. shows his best role is Donald from Barry Munday (2010) where he played an air guitarist supreme opposite Patrick Wilson.

Whigham’s other films include Man Of The House, Lords of Dogtown, Fast & Furious, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Silver Linings Playbook,True Detective, The Wolf of Wall Street,  Kong: Skull Island (arguably his 2nd best role), First Man, Vice and Joker.

Whigham will be playing alongside a fellow newcomer to the series but a Guardians of the Galaxy veteran Pom Klementieff.

Hayley Atwell, Marvel associate has already worked with Whigham in Agent Carter.

Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Tom Cruise are all set to return.

Speaking of work ethic, Tom Cruise is the hardest working man in show business.

Maybe he recognizes something in Whigham? Or maybe he just thinks he has an interesting face.

Accept it our not, Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 are due out 2021 and 2022.
