The Red Band version of the Super Troopers 2 trailer is here meow.  Check it out below.

Has It Really Been That Long?

It’s hard to believe, but Super Troopers came out sixteen freaking years ago.  I remember watching and enjoying parts of it on DVD after drinking a few liters of Captain & Cola.  Unfortunately, I’m too mature and responsible to enjoy this movie meow.

This Super Troopers 2 trailer looks to be pretty much the same thing as the first film.  The jokes are the same, and the characters look like they haven’t changed one bit over the past sixteen years.  Lynda Carter still looks pretty darned good!  You have a coin flip’s chance of seeing a funny Rob Lowe performance here.

Has It Not Been Long Enough?

Judging by what we see in this Super Troopers 2 trailer, it appears that the plot involves some kind of map re-drawing that places a part of Canada in the troopers’ jurisdiction.  In addition, we will get to see these guys use cheesy French Canadian accents and goof on Canadian culture a bit.  It’s long past time that somebody knocked those damned Canadians down a peg or two.  They’re too nice.

Finally, I’m also happy to see that Brian Cox is still alive and more than willing to defecate on his resume to cash a paycheck in this thing.  Wait?  He’s not getting paid much for this?  Damn.

Super Troopers 2 is scheduled for release on April 20, 2018 (4/20…LIKE…GET IT?!?!?!  IT’S POT HUMOR!).  Jay Chandrasekhar directs Super Troopers 2.  The movie stars Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, Kevin Heffernan, Brian Cox, and Marisa Coughlan.  The movie also has Rob Lowe, Lynda Carter, and Jim Gaffigan in supporting roles.  Meow.
