You all still watch cartoons.

It’s OK.

A lot of animation these days is made for adults anyway and some of the best shows of the past 30 years, like King of The Hill and the first 7 seasons of The Simpsons, proudly call themselves animated.

Now Netflix has a new animated program for adults coming soon called The Midnight Gospel.

Clancy is a space-caster who uses a multiverse simulator to interview beings living in other worlds.

If the animation looks familiar that’s because the show was created by Pendleton Ward, who previously created the rather great Adventure Time on Cartoon Network.

The show looks pretty good. The animation has the same look as Adventure Time, but at the same gives off a Yellow Submarine vibe. But I don’t remember Adventure Time having the same kind of dirty words that this does.

Cartoon Network’s animated shows have been pretty hit or miss. Disenchantment from Matt Groening has a massively flat disappointment, but I have heard a lot of good things about BoJack Horseman.

The Midnight Gospel debuts on Netflix April 20.
