Only a few more weeks until Disney unleashes Mulan, their attempt at a mature live-action adaption of one of their animated films, onto the world.

Last night, in the frenzy of the Super Bowl they released the final trailer for the film online.

By now everyone knows the story of the movie, so this time they seemed to concentrate on the spectacle of the film’s action and special effects, with an emphasis on the villains.

This is in addition to the character posters for the film that were released last week.

The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Asian film style stunts really seems to work well with the film and should help attract an older audience than other live-action remakes such as Beauty and The Beast and Cinderella were able to bring in.

Everyone is calling for more diversity and female-driven films, which this is, but Disney does not seem to be getting enough credit for seeming to of found a way to do it correctly.

The story and characters do not feel like they’re being forced onto you and everything seems like it’s being put together very organically.

Mulan is a strong female character, but she is more believable as that because they’re not shoving it in your face and she isn’t being made into the perfect female that Hollywood thinks all women need to be now.

Regardless of how well this film does, Disney already has more live-action remakes of their properties planned, such as Bambi and Pinocchio

Mulan invades theaters on March 27.
